Private FAQs

How do I set up a lesson with you?
Text or email me and I can let you know my availability on any forthcoming week.

What are your fees?

All our fees are on the Coaching page on this website under Private Instruction. Check it out!

Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes, I unfortunately have to enforce a strict 24H cancellation policy in case of a no show of any kind (private, semi-private or small group) as I turn down players for sought after time slots and can’t afford not earn income in case a player does not attend for any reason.

Do you offer a package deal?
Yes! I reward all students with a free lesson of the prepaid set they have purchased. A prepaid set comprises 10 paid sessions + 1 “on the house” session. Any set is valid for 1 year from the time of the first lesson or time of purchase (whichever comes first). It does expire after 1 year though so make sure you are planning on committing for a bit! Just ask for details!

Can anyone set up a lesson with you?
Yes but I offer priority to the LRD Team members, then LRD Classes members then rest of my clientele.

Do you give priority to any type of lesson format?
Yes, to accommodate as many students as possible, small groups of 4 players at similar level have priority on my schedule. It also significantly lowers the cost for each participant. Then if I still have room, I am happy to do private or semi-private lessons if players are interested in more one-on-one attention.

How often should we train to see significant progress?
I highly recommend playing anywhere between 3 to 5 days a week. Each outing does not have to be 2 hours long, but the frequency of those outings really matters. In terms of instruction-based training, I recommend at least 2 weekly supervised training sessions (it can be a wide range of formats: private + team practice, private + small group, team practice + small group, 2 small groups, 2 privates, etc…). None of us coaches are magicians and if you are hoping your coach will take you to the next level, you have to be committed to that coach for roughly a year. Then an assessment should be made on player’s development goals being reached.

What if I play lots of matches but do not have much time to train?
Then, you will likely not improve at the rate you would have with training. It’s a question of personal goals. Matches are great but if you keep repeating the same mistakes over and over, you should expect same results over and over.
