Testimonials

“I’ve known Leo since he arrived in California and he’s become a close friend. I have great respect for him as a teacher and a player. His energy, knowledge and enthusiasm are first rate and he uses those qualities beautifully in accomplishing his main concern–that his students become better tennis players and enjoy themselves in the process. I highly recommend Leo to anyone looking for quality tennis lessons.”

I have played tennis since I was a kid but I never really knew HOW to PLAY tennis until taking lessons with Leo this year. My game has improved 100%. I am now beating players who used to regularly beat me.

Thanks Leo, you’ve been a great influence! I would like my son to continue as long as possible. He is really enjoying the group.

I have seen Zachary’s skills and confidence soar in the last year and I attribute much of this to your work, patience and diligence…having coached kids (at a much lower level) I know that without a combination of your teaching, guidance, nagging, hugging, pushing, slaps on the back and kicks in the butt, the kids don’t improve, don’t find a love of the game and don’t push themselves to do work on their own. It is a delicate balance and you certainly nailed it.

Drew was thrilled with his lesson with you yesterday. He was very excited about the help you gave him with his serve and is anxious to learn the second secret about serving!

Leo is an amazingly talented coach, having taken someone who never picked up a tennis racket before and, working with me once a week, developing my skills to the point where I was able to play and enjoy the game in a matter of a few months. He is able to break the game down into simple components and core skills, and then build on these as your game improves. I’ve watched Leo work with all ranges of players and continue to marvel at his energy, genuine enthusiasm and ability to tailor his lessons to the level of the student.

Leo is a fabulous teacher. I have learned so much from his purposeful drills and exercises. He helps me realize what I didn’t know that was within me.

You have worked wonders with Alex and helped him make the most of his abilities. We have always appreciated your gentle manner and encouraging attitude. I hope he will continue with tennis his whole life, and we may certainly see you again in the future for a “tune-up” once in a while.

Though I loved tennis as a kid, having said goodbye to both 40 and my waistline, I felt more than hesitant about trying to step back onto a tennis court. Fortunately, I took the leap, and was incredibly fortunate to get Leo for a coach. Patient, funny and knowledgeable about both the physics and strategy of tennis, he manages to simultaneously explain the many things I’m doing wrong while making me feel like I’m doing pretty well. Leo’s clinics are never the same twice, utilizing a wide range of drills and games as well as instruction, and his private lessons provide terrific focus. While I’ll never be 16 again, Leo has definitely brought the fun of tennis back for me!

Simply stated Leo is an exceptional tennis instructor. An elegant master of the modern game, the inspiration begins the moment one steps on the court with Leo. Very quickly you appreciate that Leo’s coaching style is every bit as effective as his technique is flawless. Leo is steadily helping to improve my game, and I’m thoroughly enjoying the process. If you want a wonderful tennis coach, look no further.
